It was bad enough that EQ didn't let you pick your own PIN and they left a backdoor that allowed people who didn't create a myEquifax account to have their freezes removed by someone setting up a myEquifax account in their name but now to get rid of PINs altogether? Oh Equifax! □♂️ I opted to just remove my freeze altogether rather than risk getting locked out of my report. I went to grab my PDF doc to grab the PIN after putting in the new freeze so I could update my documentation and there isn't a PIN. I logged in today to check my Equifax report and found that it had a lift on my freeze until December 19th of this year and the only way to remove a lift is to remove the freeze and put on a new one. This means if you get locked out of your Equifax account, you'll have to mail them identity docs.
